Dropshipping And Returns

Under the law customers have a seven day cooling of period. That is if you sell it as a "Buy it Now" If you sell it as aauction I.E. bidding starts at 0.99p and ends up a £86.00 they don't have that right. Also you need to put in writing, your right to a cooling off period, how to cancel your order, who is responsible for returning goods, who has to pay the cost of returning goods if you cancel in the cooling-off period, information about any after-sales service and the address to use for contact. The seven working day cooling-off period usually starts on the day after you receive the goods. If you don’t get this information, your cooling-off period extends up to a maximum of three months and seven working days. For example if the trader takes one month to tell you in writing, you get a cooling-off period of one month and seven working days.
If you have sent the wrong item or it is faulty you can return it and ask for your money back. In these cases the seller must cover the cost of returning the items. The point am trying to make is this it is your responsibility to refund the customer. You will then have to relist the item or sell it elsewhere. Don't go crying to your dropshipper because as far as they are concerened they have kept to their end of the deal. The selling part is easy its all the other stuff that comes with it which can catch you out. I would love to tell you to give up your day job sit back and watch the money come in. I can't and i won't. You are going have to work and by working hard and standing out from the competition you might succeed. Its all down to you. Here is a link to advise you selling on the Internet.

What Do I Need To Drop Ship.

I have written alot about finding dropshippers and what to sell. Apart from that you will need, a computer, a phone ( landline Number ) a ebay shop, your own web site ( maybe for the future ) You will need to register as self employed as the rules have changed. Open a paypal business account and also think of a name for your shop. Think carefully about your name because when you finally start your own web site you want it to be the same. You will need a good shop template to make your business stand out from the rest, you don't need to be spending hundreds as there are some good one's for under £100.00 nowadays. For a template you get get them for  free. As you are now a online business you will need to put a returns on your shop and some terms and conditions. This is to cover you as well as your future customers. Check out the Distant Selling Regulations online to help you or check on ebay as well. You will need to say what payments you will accept. On ebay paypal is a must on your own web site the choice is up to you. What your return policy is, don't forget they have a 7 day cooling off period as well which should be on. You need to check this all out other wise you could leave yourself wide open. When you have your own web site you will need to host it with someone. Have a very good look around get some quotes from at least 3 different companies. I may have missed some things out but this is just a rough guide to help you. How are you with dealing with customer complaints? Make sure you have enough funds for charge backs or returns don't fall at the first fence because you wasn't prepared.
I will share this forum with you, it cost nothing to join and you will learn a hell of alot. This is the link to it.

Dropshipping Pros and Cons

Most people including myself will realisle that when you try to sell on ebay you find it hard to compete with other sellers. I.E. after fees etc you might just make £5.00. Is it worth it you ask yourself? If it is a high value item then no i wouldn't whats the point. Lets not forget thou most high value brand items don't make much profit anyway unless you are spending ££££££££££££££££££££ and we are talking alot of them. Move away and find something else that will make you at least 30% profit after fees etc. Ok why is that seller under cutting me? One reason could be he buys them at wholesale prices and has them on him. You on the other hand rely on your dropshipper to do everything for you. Wrap it, post it and store it. Dropshipping is not the gateway to being rich but it can start you of on a journey. Remember if it was easy nobody would be poor. Think about it, while your fast asleep your products are on ebay or your own website which are open 24/7. You wake up power up the computer and hey presto look at all them sales you made while you have been asleep. You pay your drop shipper the money and he/she posts them for you. I bet you must be tired after all that work. You might even have a full time/part time job to go and in this day & age you can get messages to your mobile phone telling you you have made another sale. You have no pressure because you haven't spent thousand of pounds on stock and your worrying how to sell it. That is the next step up after dropshipping or a combination of the two. Everyting in life has pro's and con's how you deal with it is your choice. Don't expect anything on a plate and don't forget you get nothing for nothing nowadays. Also if its to good to be true, walk away because it usually is.

Dropshipping Items In A Emergency

All your items are on ebay, website etc. Now your orders start coming in. Your drop shipper has emailed you to say that item is out of stock. Now hopefully you have another drop shipper who sells the same items to pull you out of a situation? The other dropshipper replies with the same answer out of stock. Panic now starts to set in unless you have the item yourself as a back up plan? You might lose out on this sale but if it saves your business from getting  negative remarks its been worth it. This is all about business and how you should run it. It all comes down to how you deal with the situation in hand. Below is what you need to know but it is good practise.

You have to pack them weigh them & then pay for them. This should have all been done before you even listed one item, so you knew what price to include.Don't copy your competitors p&p prices how do you know they are right? Lets say you was posting something like a wooly jumper which weighed, for example 750 grams. With Royal mail it would cost you £2.07 1st class. £2.84 1st class recorded large letter size. Problem here is this, if your item is over,

Length:353mm max
Width: 250mm max
Thickness: 25mm max Large Letter Size.

Then the price of your item is this, £3.05 1st class. £3.82 1st class recorded packet size. As you can see if you don't get your packing correct your postage prices rise by nearly 50% which you will have to pay out of your own pocket and not the buyer. Being able to sell is brilliant but its just a small part of your business. Once again prepare yourself so you don't get caught out. For sending small items I don't think Royal mail can be beaten. if your sending large & heavy items by courier then shop around for prices. Make sure you get a few quotes and that your item is insured for the price. Now if your starting to sell hundreds & maybe thousands a week/month you might find it hard to keep up with it all. if you get yourself organised and mabe help from people you can trust it shouldn't be a problem. If you need to make time for yourself for other things you could always use a fulfitment company like amazon ( there are others so check them out ) to do it for you. At the end of the day your business you run it as you seem fit.

Z008 Mini 4ch RC Helicopter RTF with Gyro and USB

Here you go the perfect item to drop ship for boys between 8 and  108. This lets them discover the joys of of flying for the first time. Newly released in 2010. This palm size 4 channel helicopter is amazing! This tiny heli is able to move in 6 directions, including spinning on its own axis, just like the real thing!
The light but strong metal body frame protects the helicopter from those inevitable crashes, though not indestructible it won't break easily. The blades too are made of a flexible plastic and so are much more able to survive any collisions.

Though it has 4 channels and is highly manouvreable, it's co-axial twin rotor design makes it very easy to fly and even a complete novice should be able to control it perfectly after about half an hour. Another great feature is that you can choose from one of three frequencies so you and your friends can fly up to three of these at the same time!

It charges via the transmitter or alternatively by plugging it into the USB slot on your Mac or PC, which should mean you can charge it up pretty much anywhere.
Its amazing what radio controlled items you can drop ship nowadays.
