Dropshipping continued

Received some news that a seller who used dropshipping on ebay had reached power seller status within 2 months. I know he used a combination of at least 3 different dropshippers. So well done to him. It goes to show dropshipping can work if you research the item you wish to sell. He was also selling other items which he had in stock.

His next step is his own website, so he hasn't all his eggs in one basket. Plus the less you use ebay the less fees you pay them. Don't forget ebay is the biggest window on the web at present to sell your items and also to gain a customer base for your website. People are complaining about ebays fees, but you have to take into account its not perfect. You have a choice to sell on it or not. Use ebay to your advantage and you should be ok. If you take your time and use dropshippers, wholesalers, carboots, local ads to find items to sell and also ebay itself to buy items to sell.

You will be surprised how some sellers list there items too cheap on ebay. Many a time I have seen sellers snap them up only to relist it on another ebay account for as twice as much or even more. Don't forget ebay is one place to sell, there are others which I mentioned in previous blog.

The Advantages Of Drop Shipping.

Because a warehousing company can buy in huge volumes, they will also be able to offer you the best prices on products and shipping, which will return a greater profit to you.

There's no capital investment and no need to invest in inventory.

Using Dropshipping! allows you great flexibility in terms of product range - promote a dozen items or promote a thousand!

Instead of worrying about inventory and delivery, you get to focus on listening to the market and discovering the products your visitors you want.

What Do I Need to Know to Select a Dropshipping!

Many companies will have an interest in teaming up with you in a Dropshipping! arrangement as it's an easy way for them to generate extra revenue, but there's a number of points to consider and things to look out for:

Pricing Points

Don't accept that the first drop shipper you come across unless they are willing to provide you a "Best Price Guarantee."

Drop Ship Fees and Charges

Some companies will have a handling fee over and above freight costs - it's important to know all the costs involved so you can calculate your profit margins accurately.

Shipping

You'll want to be sure that their shipping methods will ensure your clients recieve their orders in one piece. Make sure to check there shipping policy.

Payment

It couldn't be simpler, the customer pays you first and then you pay your Dropshipping!

Support, Returns, and Refunds

The last thing you'll want is to be caught up in a nasty situation where you have a number of returns - and have to cover the bill. Ask the drop shipping company about their return policy, what kind of support they'll offer you for their products and about any guarantees associated with their products - and get it in writing.

Credibility

How long has the company been around for? Do they respond to your requests for information rapidly and professionally? Young companies have the habit of going belly up quickly, or growing too rapidly and as a consequence basic good customer service suffers.

The Drop Shipper.

The Dropshipping! helps you to get rid of all the issues that slow you down and cost you money. The advantages of using the right drop shipper can make or break your business. The following is a brief description of the advantages you as a business owner benefit by using a Dropshipping!

First Dropshipping! do the research for products and provide you with their lists and catalogues of available items at trade prices. It is up to you to sell any of these items by any method you wish.

You make the sell and receive payment before the Dropshipping! fulfills the order.

Drop shippers package your orders so you never have to package an order again.

Dropshipping! send your orders out to your customers saving you going to the post office plus your name and address is on the product.

Since your name and address is on the product, the drop shipper becomes invisible to your customers leaving you as the only person for them to contact.

Dropshipping! hold the entire product so you do not have to lay out many cash for product. You can spend your full focus on marketing and taking the money to the bank.

These are just some of the advantages of working with a drop shipper.  The more reputable drop shippers offer you online help, your own web site and to a degree will advise you of the on going products that are hot in the market for today's sales. Remember in today's world product changes often as does the consumers need for the product. That is why it is very important that you work with a reputable drop shipper that can help you to keep a breast of what is going on today and what tomorrow looks like.

The Dropshipping! is the heartbeat of your company. Remember in order to maintain a good standing all the way round keep informed and up to date on all that is happening in the market. Use good senses when selecting a drop shipper to avoid fraud and misleading your customers.

Research the different companies that offer the service. When you find the company you are satisfied with then it is best to stick with the company you trust. The drop shipper is more than glad to let you know their ratings and the BBB will inform you of their business practice. The BBB is a good place to start your research on a drop shipper that you feel will fulfill your needs.

You should have in mind the types of products that you want to sell before selecting the Dropshipping!

Don't forget it is wise to have a few drop shippers you can turn to, in case one of them runs out of stock.

Drop Shipping How To get Started.

It's fairly simple:

Set up a web site that includes a Shopping Cart and credit card processing facilities, or setup an eBay or other auction account.

Find suppliers of products you wish to sell that incorporate Dropshipping! as a business method. Open an account with them.

Gather content and images relating to the products you've chosen, incorporate them on your site and shopping cart. Collect the order and payment from your site. Provide the supplier with the customer details.

The supplier then bills you at the special price you have agreed upon; fulfills the order and sends it to your client  in most cases with labels referring to your business/web site instead of the company.

Dropshipping

Dropshipping! is defined simply as having a middleman perform an intermediary role between a regular transaction involving a buyer and a supplier of merchandise. This 'middleman' is a reseller who is marketing products on behalf of the supplier providing the dropship service. At the point of the middleman concluding a sale with a buyer, the dropshipping company handles all the fulfilment and ensures the buyer receives their ordered merchandise.

Dropshipping! is risky business; not least because as a buyer you have to be absolutely certain that your supplier won't let you down once orders start to roll in as your reputation depends on it.

Dropshipping! (or Direct Fulfilment) is a simple supply chain management system which enables the retailer to advertise their suppliers products without having to physically keep goods in stock. Instead once the customer has placed an order, the retailer will forward order details to the wholesaler, who then ships the goods directly to the customer. The retailers make their profit on the difference between the wholesale and retail price.
